5 Black-Owned Wellness Brands to Support Now

It should be clear that I’m always rooting for everyone Black, but especially during Black History Month. Here are some of my favorite Black-owned wellness brands to support this month, and every month to come.

Deon Libra

Devin McGee, one of the co-founders of Deon Libra, started the brand because she couldn’t find “a single beauty + wellness brand, committed to serving Black bodies first, and fully committed to providing stress education, community, and a digital safe space.” You know what, neither could I, which is why I love Deon Libra. I bought their first two products the minute they dropped and while I love them both, the Unbothered Adaptogenic Elixir is my fave. I like that the adaptogens are helping my body manage stress and fight illness, and I love the mix of cinnamon, cardamom & ginger and how it tastes with my morning latte. Can’t wait to see what they drop next.

Golde

Golde was founded in 2017 and since it’s initial launch of the Original Turmeric Latte Blend, the brand has expanded to several other turmeric latte blends, matcha + face masks.

I + I Botanicals

I started carrying I + I Botanicals in my store CVTD Beauty because I was impressed with the brand’s intentional approach to wellness products featuring CBD. Then, when I tried the products for myself, I was sold. I especially love how the Dry Oil Body Mist is hydrating without being too greasy.

Brown Girl Jane

There have been so many studies about the benefits of CBD in stress management, and I love that I can find CBD supplements from a Black-owned brand. I use the Balance Wellness Drops to help manage stress and I like how it supports my mood without any “high” feeling.

Honey Pot

I couldn’t make this list without a shout out to Honey Pot, an incredible period care line. I think the standout products are their pads, which are infused with essential oils to create a cooling sensation that definitely provides some relief.

I’m sure there are many more Black-owned wellness brands, so please share your favorites.
