Foundations I've Been Loving Lately | In Rotation
With as many foundations that I have, you'd think I'd rotate through them a little more than I do. The truth is that I usually have one or two that I use constantly on a day to day basis. It's been a while since I've done a roundup post like this, so I decided to share the four foundations that I've been loving lately and using on a regular basis for the last couple of months.I've really been on a stick foundation kick and I think it's because it's just so easy to swipe on my face. As I mentioned in my What I Adore post, Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation has hands down been my most used foundation lately. The shade Amber is a perfect match for my skin and it wears really nicely all day. Here's a picture of me wearing it:Another go-to has been the Estee Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Brightening Serum + Concealer in 4N. I know it's not technically a foundation, but I love using this as a lightweight and quick foundation. It's very creamy and sometimes I'll swipe it under my eyes and around my nose and just blend it with my fingers. I reviewed this concealer a while ago in this post, and here's a picture of me wearing it:The next two foundations that I've been loving lately are traditional liquid foundations. One is lightweight and glowy and the other is matte and medium coverage. I'll start with the lightweight one - the Make Up For Ever Water Blend Foundation in Y445. I bought this because so many people rave about MUFE foundations due to the wide color range. I gotta say that even though they have a pretty good color selection, I actually don't have a great match. Since the Water Blend foundation is on the sheer side, I can make it work, but none of the more full coverage MUFE foundations work very well for my skin tone. That being said, I like how weightless the Water Blend foundation feels on my skin. Here's a picture from this post:Last I have Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in 360. I don't need this type of coverage on a daily basis, but this is the one I reach for when I have a long day / night ahead of me. It truly lasts all day, and it's easy to sheer this out a bit by mixing in a little primer or moisturizer. I wrote a post trying out 4 different shades of the Fenty Beauty foundation, so here's a picture from that post wearing 360:And of course, here are comparison swatches of the four foundations that I've been loving lately:So that's it for my current foundation favorites. I'm determined to finish one of these before I buy anything new (I've been eyeing the new Bobbi Brown foundation). What have you guys been wearing lately?
