This week was my first week back in Oakland after an awesome trip to NYC last week. I had so much fun and here's a little recap.

I was so excited to attend the grand opening of Vivrant Beauty, an adorable beauty boutique specializing in hair care products for natural hair and lots of indie body care brands. This was a really special moment for me because the shop is also right across from a cute little studio that I called my home in a past life. It reminded me how much Harlem has changed and inspired me to continue pursing my dream career in beauty. Even more, the owner is actually a former lawyer - proof that you can leave the law :-) If you're ever in the New York area and want a unique beauty shopping experience, be sure to check it out!
