Mauve Makeup Look | Fall Makeup Tutorial
I'm not usually into cool-toned makeup but I've been reaching for all of my mauve makeup lately. Mauve is like the sophisticated version of lavender. It's still girly and fresh, but a little moody (like me).[highlighted_p boxed="true" center="true"]I have the video showing up top, but in case you're having trouble, here's a link to the video.[/highlighted_p]
The mauve eyeshadow that I used for this look - Bill - from ColourPop looks like such a basic color. It's a grayish lavender and when I saw it online, I wasn't sure that it would look good on me. I tend to stay away from gray eyeshadows because I'm always afraid they'll look too ashy on my skin. So, my tip for using any cool toned shade is to always use a warm eyeshadow (like Flutes, which is swatched in this post) to blend it out.
In the tube, this lipgloss (Tarte's Double Tap) looks like another pink/brown nude. But it's not, trust me. It's actually a cool-toned nude with a hint of taupe/lavender that is so pretty to me. So basically, you need this one!
