Testing New Fall Foundations | Fall Makeup

In the last couple of months, there have been some exciting new fall foundations that have hit the shelves.  There are the full coverage stick foundations from Hourglass and Anastasia Beverly Hills, a light-to-medium Make Up For Ever foundation, and a really sheer tinted balm from The Estee Edit.  So far, I've been wearing the Estee Edit Skin Glowing Balm the most, but the Hourglass foundation is beautiful for when you want something more full coverage (I used it in this makeup tutorial).New fall foundations.New foundations for fall.I will have full on reviews in the coming weeks, but for now I will just give a little bit of info on each of these new fall foundations.  I also have some swatches so that you guys can get an idea of each of these foundations.  They are all really different, so if you're looking for a new foundation, I hope that this post helps you find what you need!

First up, I'm gonna talk about the Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation.  I was super excited when these released, so I didn't wait until they were in Sephora stores.  Luckily, ABH posted tons of swatches and pictures on their Instagram page so that I was able to get a better idea of which shade to buy.  Lots of brands will post foundation swatches, but I loved that they actually featured a model wearing each foundation shade so that I could really get an idea of each color.

Based on the picture, I thought that Chestnut would be a good match for my  summer skintone, and I bought Amber for my winter shade.  But, when I got them in the mail, I realized I'm a much closer match for Amber.  I'm still keeping Chestnut, though, because I can use it for a subtle bronzer (using the method from this tutorial) or for after my next beach vacation ;-).  Also, Cool Golden, the shade between Amber and Chestnut wasn't available yet, but when it's released, I may pick it up.I will have a full review soon, but so far I LOVE how smooth and blendable this foundation is.  The coverage is great, and there's a wide range of colors.  It's $25 and available at Sephora and Anastasia Beverly Hills.New fall foundations | adiaadores.com

Next, I have the Hourglass Cosmetics Vanish Foundation Stick.  I used it in this flawless foundation tutorial, so you guys have seen it in action already.  The shade I have - Warm Almond - is right between the two ABH shades that I mentioned.  It's a very warm color, so I love how it brightens my face.  I like to buy foundation that looks very yellow / orange because I feel like it just makes my skin glow more.  I think the Hourglass is very similar to the ABH stick foundation, but it's a bit more full coverage and slightly more matte.  The Hourglass Cosmetics Vanish Foundation Stick is $46 and is available at Sephora and Nordstrom.Let me know if you'd like a more detailed comparison of my stick foundations.  I also have the Clinique stick foundation that I reviewed this spring, and it's totally different.

Make Up For Ever is kind of new territory for me.  I recently reviewed their new artist rouge lipsticks, but other than that, I haven't had much experience with the brand.  But some of my favorite bloggers rave about the foundations, so when I heard about a super light weight and long-lasting foundation, I had to check it out.  I'm still deciding on how I feel about this foundation, mainly because the shade is more pink than I'd prefer.  That being said, this really feels weightless on the skin.  I think this could be a great everyday foundation.  For reference, here's a picture of me wearing it from the MUFE lipstick post:Wearing MUFE Artist Rouge lipstick in C404.

new fall foundations | The Estee Edit Skin Glowing Balm

I wore this tinted skin balm in this video and this post, so you guys probably get that I'm feeling it.  The Estee Edit Skin Glowing Balm is very sheer, so it's similar to the Glossier Skin Tint that I use in this tutorial.  For me, that's a great thing.  On mornings when I don't have time to blend in foundation, but I want to even out my skin, I can just slap this on my face and run out the door.  I love the glowy finish too, and think this will be even better when the weather finally cools here.  If you want a very light foundation that wakes up your skin, definitely check this out.I hope these first impressions and swatches of new fall foundations are helpful to you, and please let me know what you'd like me to review first!
